Manufacturer Recalls 800,000 Doses of H1N1 Vaccine; Flu Experts Not Worried

The drug company Sanofi Pasteur is recalling 800,000 pediatric doses due to a low potency.

"Shots of vaccine are prepared for usage during a counter the H1N1 swine flu virus vaccination session for medical staff at the hospital in Chur, Switzerland, in this Nov. 2009 file photo. About 800,000 pre-filled syringes of swine flu shots intended for young children have been recalled because tests indicate the vaccine doses lost some strength, government health officials said Tuesday." "Despite the nature of the recall, children who were vaccinated with the weakened doses should not be revaccinated because the antigen content "is only slightly below the 'specified' range," according to the CDC. In other words, even the weakened level of the vaccine is still expected to be protective."

Belated Birthday to Me! :)

Another year older, another year wiser.

I can definitely say that I have learned much this year, especially this past semester! :) I can officially say I'm in my mid-20s (& going downhill to my 30s) :P Or that I'm a quarter of a century old, LOL.

I'm surrounded by great family & good friends. I got so many birthday wishes! And a great home-cooked meal from my significant other! :D Thank you all!
